Revolutionising NHS Primary Care
In this video, we explore Seismofit®, an exciting new tool that can estimate VO₂max—a key indicator of cardiorespiratory fitness—in just three minutes without any exercise. As GPs who are passionate about embracing technology to make primary care better, we think Seismofit® has a lot of potential to improve the way we assess fitness, prevent illness, and ultimately, enhance patient care.
We had the privilege of addressing the United Nations General Assembly to discuss the role of technology in transforming healthcare, and it’s there that we met the amazing team from VentriJect, the creators of Seismofit®. Today, we’re diving into what Seismofit® can do, how it fits into primary care, and the future of healthcare technology.
Seismofit® offers a simple, non-invasive way to get a VO₂max reading, which helps identify patients at risk for heart disease, dementia, cancer, and more. It’s part of the shift we need towards proactive healthcare, helping us move from sickness to prevention, and supporting the government’s push to shift more care from hospitals to the community. All while complying with the latest data governance standards like ISO 27001.
In this video, we’ll talk about the accuracy of Seismofit®, the real-world use cases in NHS primary care, the potential for adopting such tech innovations more efficiently, and why we believe we need a new primary care contract to make tools like this a reality.
