Blood Related Problems

Do not book your appointment for Covid vaccination before speaking to your own GP if you have any of the following conditions:
Any major venous and/or arterial thrombosis occurring with thrombocytopenia following vaccination with any COVID-19 vaccine.

 Any history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (HITT or HIT type 2).

 Any history of Capillary Leak Syndrome.


Severe Allergy

Do not book your appointment for Covid vaccination before speaking to your own GP if you have experienced:

Any unexplained anaphylaxis or any serious allergic reaction to any ingredients of the Covid-19 vaccines, drug or other vaccine.

Any urticarial (itchy) skin reaction following a COVID-19 vaccine.




Current Illness

Do not book your appointment for Covid vaccination before speaking to your own GP if you have:

Any current illnesses including fever.

Any current symptoms of Covid-19 or tested positive to Covid-19 over the last 12 weeks.

Severe Immunosuppression.




Recent Vaccinations

Do not book your appointment for Covid vaccination before speaking to your own GP if you have had any vaccinations performed in the last 7 days.

Pregnancy

Being pregnant won’t stop you from being vaccinated against Covid-19 but do inform your vaccinator if you are or could be pregnant.

Blood Thinning Medications

You can still take the vaccination if you are taking blood thinning medication but please do inform your vaccinator if this is the case.

 

Coronavirus Vaccine Trials

Please let your vaccinator know if you have participated in any coronavirus vaccine trials
