Please be aware that NHS IT systems in primary care across Cheshire have failed this morning which may result in delays in care or in contacting us. Almost all IT systems in Cheshire GP practices have been affected. NHS GP surgeries have no control over IT infrastructure which is owned and run by NHS England.
We have been informed that the problem has been caused by a break in the NHS Fibre network provided by Virgin Media who have been trying to rectify the problem all day.
UPDATE 16:10 28/02/2022. The fault that has affected all GP surgeries in Cheshire has been rectified. We anticipate our systems should be running normally by tomorrow.
UPDATE 16:34 28/02/2022. The fault has recurred and engineers are continuing to attempt a curative fix.
UPDATE 18:05 28/02/2022. The fault is now fixed.
