There are FOUR very important issues that need to be addressed before you visit the health centre. You may be denied entry if you do not comply with the first three instructions below:
1. Wear a Facemask
Wilmslow Health Centre would be very grateful if you could wear a face mask during your face-to-face appointments at the surgery. There is a global shortage of face masks and if you are unable to get hold of one, the video below shows how you can make your own, without the need for any sewing.
Well Pharmacy (next door to the surgery) currently sell such masks
2. Answer the symptoms questionnaire
This symptoms questionnaire will have been texted to you before any booked appointment. The link begins with florey.accurx.com/xxxxxx.
It is the second link on the text you received within 24 hours of your appointment time. Click on it and follow the instructions.
This questionnaire checks whether or not you may be exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.
3. Stay Safe
(a) Use hand sanitiser. If you do not have your own, please use the dispensers in the reception area.
(b) Practice social distancing. Only use the seats marked with a green square. Do not use the seats taped off with red tape.
(c) Come alone when at all possible to reduce crowding and reduce the risk of contamination. Carers and partners will not usually be allowed into the surgery.
(d) Do not linger in reception after your appointment. Any medication or appointment queries can still to be done over the phone when you have left the building.
4. Read the following notice regarding clinical trials
We are collecting blood samples to look at the background immunity of the general population to Coronavirus, as part of a study being performed by the University of Oxford, Public Health England and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
How can you help?
If you are coming to see your GP for a prescheduled blood test, you will be asked if an additional bottle of blood can be collected.
Please note: as we are not testing for the presence of coronavirus, there will be no results sent back to the surgery.
Please refer to the patient information sheet for further information.
